Mirosław Kowalik
Westinghouse Electric Poland Sp. z o.o.
- manager with extensive experience and knowledge of the Polish energy market. Since May 2021, in the position of president of Westinghouse in Poland, where he is responsible for the implementation of investments in the area of nuclear technology, including the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant based on safe and proven AP1000® technology.
- Kowalik has more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector and expertise in business management, strategy, new project acquisition and business development, gained in senior management positions at SNC Lavalin, Alstom and ABB, among others. Prior to his position at Westinghouse, he served as CEO of Enea, one of Poland’s largest power companies.
- He is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Department of the Maritime Academy in Gdynia. He earned an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in cooperation with the Foundation for Management Development at the University of Gdansk and completed postgraduate studies in corporate financial management at the Warsaw School of Economics.
