Paweł Smoliński

  • Pawel Smolinski is responsible in the Office of Technical Inspection for the area of innovation and development.
  • He graduated from the Faculty of Mechatronics at the Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in Automation, as well as postgraduate managerial studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and postgraduate studies in Nuclear Power Engineering at the Faculty of MEL at the Warsaw University of Technology.
  • At the UDT, he worked, among other things, as coordinator and then head of the department. He was responsible for the UDT’s preparations for tasks related to the construction of Poland’s first nuclear power plant and the development of the technical legal framework in this regard.
  • Since 2017, he has been associated with the Department of Innovation and Development where, together with his team, he implemented a number of solutions to improve the quality of inspections and develop the UDT’s technical safety offer. The introduction of drones as inspection tools, robotization, cyber-security of industrial systems, the use of virtual and augmented reality, or preparing UDT for tasks related to electromobility are examples of projects implemented in recent years.

Kamil Wyszkowski

Since 2002 he has been associated with the United Nations. From 2002 to 2009 at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), he was responsible, among other things, for international and multilateral cooperation and program development in Europe and Asia. He also worked at the UNDP headquarters in New York and the UNDP headquarters for Europe and CIS countries in Bratislava. From 2009 to 2014, Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Office in Poland. From 2004 to 2021 Country Representative and President of the Council of the UN Global Compact Network Poland – UN GCNP (United Nation’s initiative to coordinate cooperation with business, cities, universities, public administration and NGO’s; read more: ungc.org.pl). Mark Muldowney

  • Mark, who is responsible for the power and renewables team at BNP Paribas in London, has 30 years of experience of the energy and infrastructure finance market. BNP Paribas is one of the leading banks in the power sector and is playing a key role in the financing of the energy transition. 
  • He has advised on, and arranged, energy sector financings in many different parts of the world, with a major focus in renewable energy with extensive experience of offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and other technologies, including nuclear. 
  • BNP Paribas has recently advised Equinor and SSE on the Dogger Bank project in the UK which has raised over £9bn of limited recourse financing and will be the largest offshore wind project in the world when complete. He is currently advising Sizewell C on their planned 2 unit EPR project in the UK and previously advised Hinkley Point C on their EPR project which is currently under construction.  He has advised on nuclear projects in other countries including France, Finland, and Czechia.

Carl Marcotte

  •  Before joining AtkinsRéalis in 2020, Carl Marcotte was most recently President & CEO of Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) in Ottawa. While there, he led a team of international contracting and risk management professionals who reported to Parliament through the Minister of Small Business, Export Promotion and International Trade. He was responsible for developing new business opportunities for Canadian exporters selling to foreign governments and acting as the prime contractor to close major opportunities.
  • Previously, Carl spent 24 years at Export Development Canada and Nortel Networks managing teams of structure finance professionals. He also held similar business development roles within AtkinsRéalis (formerly SNC-Lavalin), Canadian Nuclear Laboratories and Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL). 
  • He has sat on multiple boards, including Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), Wavefront, Heritage College Foundation and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation as Chair. Carl is a project financing professional by training and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and an MBA from McGill University. 

Adam Rajewski

  • A specialist in the field of energy, a graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology and a reactor physics course organized by Oregon State University. He has several years of experience working in large industrial companies, where he was involved in, m.in, the development of high-reliability power supply systems based on low-emission fuels and preparation for the implementation of power facilities of various scales, including a large Polish system power plant.
  • At the same time, since 2009, he has been working at his alma mater as a research and teaching officer, providing education in the field of thermodynamics, renewable and nuclear energy and energy systems, as well as research related to the development of low-carbon energy.
  • It participates in various activities in the field of dissemination of knowledge about nuclear energy for various recipients, from energy specialists to school children. Dagmara Strumińska-Parulska 

  • Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk, research and teaching worker.
  • She deals with the issues of environmental radiochemistry and radiation protection as well as radioecotoxicology, and her scientific research concerns the determination of natural and artificial radionuclides in natural samples – marine and terrestrial; distribution and accumulation of radioactive elements in marine and terrestrial organisms; determination of radiotoxicity of food products and the radiological effects of food uptake of radionuclides.
