Mieczysław Struk
Marshall of Pomorskie Voivodeship
- a long-time local government official, he has continuously held the position of marshal of Pomorskie Voivodeship since 2010. Prior to that, he served on the Pomorskie Voivodeship Board as deputy marshal from 2005 to 2010, and was mayor of Jastarnia from 1990 to 2002,
- member of the Committee on Territorial Cohesion Policy and Budget of the European Union (COTER) and the Committee on Natural Resources of the European Union (NAT),
- member of the Committee of the Regions to the EU, an advisory body representing regional and local communities of the European Union,
- graduate of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at the Academy of Physical Education in Wroclaw. He completed postgraduate studies in organization and management and European integration at the University of Gdansk and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Management and Economics of Services at the University of Szczecin,
- laureate of many awards and distinctions, including the Badge of Honor for Merit to Local Government and the Grzegorz Palka Award, the so-called local government Oscar.
