Internal medicine specialist, psychiatrist, academic teacher, and researcher at the Medical University of Gdańsk (GUMed). He has co-authored numerous studies in the fields of clinical epidemiology, quality of life assessment, environmental epidemiology, and pharmacoepidemiology in psychiatry.
He conducted research on mortality and quality of life among individuals who lost their jobs as part of a cohort study covering the population of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk district. He is also a co-author of studies resulting from large cross-sectional surveys conducted on a representative sample of the Polish population, including NATPOL2 and POLSENIOR2.
His academic output includes over 200 publications and book chapters related to broadly understood determinants of public health, infectious diseases, clinical cardiology, and psychiatry.
