Dr. Leszek Juchniewicz was a long-time lecturer and worked in commercial banking. From 1994 to 1997, he served as Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Ownership Transformations and the Ministry of State Treasury. From 1997 to 2007, he was the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. He has been appointed multiple times to supervisory bodies of commercial law companies, including serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Petrochemia Płock S.A.

From 2013 to 2021, he was an Advisor to the President of Employers of the Republic of Poland, including serving as Chief Economist.

He is the author of numerous articles and several academic books on finance, economic policy, energy regulation, and privatization.
