Krzysztof Skotak
- Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Skotak, expert at the National Institute of Public Health NIH – National Research Institute.
- He specializes in health assessments of environmental quality, particularly related to ambient air quality and climate. He is the author of numerous methodological studies prepared for the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection and the State Sanitary Inspection.
- He is a member of international committees and working groups. He serves as Poland’s official representative in the joint WHO and UNECE Task Force on Air Quality and Health. He has been officially notified as the National Focal Point in the WHO European Task Force on Environment and Health in the field of climate change. He is also a member of the Team on the Health Impacts of Air Pollution at the Public Health Council.

Tadeusz Jędrzejczyk
- He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical Academy in Gdańsk (now the Medical University of Gdańsk), where he also obtained a PhD in Medical Sciences. He first specialized in Social Medicine and subsequently in Public Health. Since 1995, he has been affiliated with the Department of Public Health and Social Medicine. He also holds an MBA in Healthcare Management (Medical University of Gdańsk and the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development).
- He served as a City Councillor of Gdańsk in the 1994–1998 term and chaired the Health Committee. He was also the Chair of the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol-Related Problems. Between 1999 and 2002 he cooperated with Wirtualna Polska, where he edited the health section, and later served as editor of the portal zdrowie.med.pl until 2007. In the 2024–2026 term he serves as Vice-President of the European Public Health Alliance. He has participated in and coordinated numerous international projects.
- In 2008–2009 and 2013–2014 he served respectively as Medical Director and Director of the Pomeranian Regional Branch of the National Health Fund. He was also Deputy Director for Medical Affairs at the University Clinical Centre. In 2014–2016 he served as President of the National Health Fund.
- Since 2019 he has been working at the Department of Health of the Marshal’s Office of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. He is the author of numerous scientific and popular publications and articles.
Joanna Smolik
- Director of the Strategic Relations Department at BGK, Polish Development Bank.
- Joanna joined BGK in 2010, initially in the role of a specialist and expert in the Structured Finance Department and, since 2014, as head of the section responsible for structuring financing for the energy, transport and municipal sectors.
- In 2020, she was appointed head of the Bureau for the Structuring of Difficult Transactions, dealing with early corporate restructuring.
- Since April 2021, she has been the director of the Strategic Relations Department, whose main task is to support the sustainable socio-economic development of Poland by providing financial solutions and comprehensive banking services to key business entities.
- Joanna is also the director of the Strategic Security programme, which is in charge of determining strategic directions for BGK’s activities in security and energy transition, as well as improving the industry’s cyber security.
- In addition to her work at BGK, Joanna gained professional experience in the private equity sector managing a fund operating in the field of renewable energy.

Jacek Kaczorowski
- He is a graduate of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, where he studied Mining as well as Management and Marketing.
- From the beginning of his professional career, he has been associated with one of the largest mining companies in Europe – Bełchatów Brown Coal Mine, where he held top management positions.
- He has extensive experience in leading and supervising projects in the mining and energy sectors.
- He is a participant in the work of the Mining Committee – Surface Mining Section, as well as the Mining Economics Section at the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
- Between 1999 and 2003, as a member of the management board of KWB Bełchatów S.A., he served as Director of Investments, and between 2006 and 2010, he was President of the Management Board and General Director.
- Since July 2009, he simultaneously managed PGE Elektrownia Bełchatów S.A., overseeing its consolidation with 13 energy and mining companies across Poland. Until the end of 2015, he served as President of PGE Górnictwo i Energetyka Konwencjonalna, one of the five key companies within PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, responsible for the company’s development and long-term competitive positioning in the market.
- In 2011, he completed one of the largest investments in the Polish energy sector after 1989 – the construction of Unit 14 (858 MW) at the Bełchatów Power Plant.
- During his tenure, the construction of Units 5 and 6 at the Opole Power Plant (1,800 MW total), Unit 7 at the Turów Power Plant (496 MW), a gas-steam unit at the Gorzów CHP Plant, and a Waste-to-Energy Thermal Treatment Installation at the Rzeszów CHP Plant was initiated.

Łukasz Kurpaska
- Dr Lukasz Kurpaska studied at the Faculty of Material Science and Ceramics at AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
- In 2012, he received a Ph.D. from the University of Technology of Compiegne, France. In 2019, he
- obtained the title of Doctor Habilitus (D.Sc.) in Materials Engineering and a professorship at NCBJ.
- In his works, he primarily focused on the structural and mechanical properties of irradiated materials and the impact of high-temperature. He has been a director and manager of numerous projects funded by Polish agencies (FNP, NCBiR, MNiSW, NCN), IAEA, EC and received prestigious scholarships from Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Fullbright Comission, The Kościuszko Fundation, NAWA and French Embassy.
- Doctor Kurpaska is the Director of the NOMATEN Center of Excellence in the National Center for Nuclear Research (NCBJ).
- Before that, he was the Head of the Materials Research Laboratory (MRL) – the only laboratory in Poland equipped with a set of 12 Hot Cells able to handle radioactive materials.
- He coordinated several expertise works for the Polish industry and worked with several Polish accreditation and certificate institutions, such as the Polish Center for Accreditation, the Technical Inspection Authority, and the Office of Nuclear Regulation.
- In 2021, he was elected a member of the scientific council of NCBJ (re-elected in 2025).
Vakisasai Ramany
- Senior Vice President – Development, EDF – New Nuclear Projects & Engineering
- Having joined the EDF Group initially as an R&D engineer in 1999 in the context of energy market deregulation across Europe, V. Ramany progressively developed a thorough expertise of all techno-economical aspects driving the electricity business through various leading roles in generation mix management, market risk management and customer portfolio management.
- In 2008, V. Ramany joined the EDF Group CFO’s office to support the company’s endeavors to grow its international business, notably working on major acquisitions, including that of the British nuclear power generation fleet by EDF.
- In 2011, V. Ramany moved to the UK arm of EDF in London as M&A and Investments Director. As such he led the efforts of the Group to honor its major commitments to the European Commission following the acquisition of British Energy, initiated the refinancing strategy of EDF’s UK renewable business and has been a leading contributor to securing funding for the 3200MW Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project in the UK.
- Since 2015 V. Ramany leads the international new nuclear development activities for the EDF Group, encompassing the development of new nuclear projects, of international strategic cooperations in the nuclear domain and of export nuclear technologies.
- Ramany graduated from the Engineering School of Aeronautics and Space, Toulouse, France, and holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
Katarzyna Sisofo
- Since January 2024, she has been associated with Energomontaż-Północ Gdynia, where she serves as the Strategic Project Manager overseeing the implementation of U.S. standards for the nuclear energy sector and the construction of a module for Poland’s first nuclear power plant.
- In her daily work, she focuses on developing competencies in team management, acquiring new projects, and business development, combining technical expertise with a strategic and organizational approach.
- She holds degrees from Silesian University of Technology and the University of Gdańsk and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in nuclear energy at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
