Dane prelegenta

Karol Korzeniowski

  • 6th-semester student at the Faculty of Applied Physics and Mathematics at Gdańsk University of Technology (Technical Physics),
  • member of the 22nd Board of the BEST Gdańsk Students’ Association,
  • founder and president of MNKN Neptunium – a student scientific club bringing together Gdańsk University of Technology students interested in nuclear energy and nuclear physics.

Kinga Frąckiewicz

  • She is a chemist. For 12 years, she worked at the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology in Warsaw, where she worked with radioactive elements such as uranium and used a diffractometer in her research.
  • During her first years at the Institute, she completed her PhD.
  • She also completed training as a Radiation Protection Inspector. She holds IOR-3 authorization issued by the State Atomic Energy Agency (PAA) and IOR-R authorization issued by the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.
  • She runs a business providing supervision and advisory services in the field of nuclear law, and she also teaches chemistry at a general secondary school and a primary school.

Ewelina Pomianowska

  • An expert in the energy sector with over 15 years of experience, specializing in the power sector, nuclear projects, and complex infrastructure investments.
  • She combines in-depth electrical engineering expertise with extensive experience in execution, project management, and strategic planning, effectively managing projects of the highest complexity and of key importance for energy security.

Artur Rudnicki

  • Principal Advisor, Country Coordinator for Poland, European Investment Bank, Advisory Services 
  • PhD in Economics, he is an expert in the strategy and financing of large infrastructure projects.
  • He previously worked for international consulting firms, where he served as a lead economist and department manager.
  • He currently works for the European Investment Bank. 

Renata Kierepko

  • PhD, DSc, Professor at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN) in the Department of Nuclear Physicochemistry.
  • Since 2025, leader of the European project CITISTRA, focused on the use of citizen-based measurements as a complementary strategy for monitoring ionizing radiation in situations of risk caused by armed conflicts or natural disasters.
  • Since 2024, member of the Committee on Physics at Division III of Exact Sciences and Earth Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
  • Research interests: identification and characterization of isotopic signatures of nuclear events.
  • Research fellowships at: ATALANTE, CEA Marcoule and CEA Saclay in France, as well as at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) / Quantum and Radiological Sciences and Technology (QST) in Japan.

Marta Skoczyńska

  • She is currently active within Women in Nuclear Poland, as part of the Education and Outreach Group. She is an engineer with experience in dosimetry, nuclear facilities, and spent nuclear fuel.
  • She previously worked at the Radioactive Waste Disposal Plant (ZUOP) as a specialist in nuclear facilities and spent nuclear fuel, where she participated, among other activities, in training programs for personnel applying for certification as Nuclear Material Accounting Specialists (S-E) and Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Operators (S-O).
  • She gained research experience at the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), working on mixed radiation dosimetry and on studies of materials irradiated in the MARIA research reactor.
  • She also participated in international workshops on post-irradiation examination (PIE) at the Centrum Výzkumu Řež in the Czech Republic.
  • Additionally, she completed an international internship at one of the largest companies in the nuclear industry, gaining experience in non-destructive testing (NDT), particularly in digital radiography used in nuclear energy.
  • She is a graduate of Biomedical Engineering at Poznań University of Technology.

Katarzyna Fryza

  • Since 2024, she has served as the Starost (Head) of Konin County.
  • Previously, she gained experience in local government and public administration, including as the Head of the Civil Registry Office in the Municipality of Ślesin and as a staff member in departments of the Voivodeship Office, where she dealt with social policy and civic affairs.

Jan Kluge

  • An engineer specializing in nuclear energy and reactor safety.
  • Professionally associated with Rockfin, where he participates in projects related to the development of technologies for the energy sector.
  • Engaged in the development of the nuclear sector in Poland and in initiatives aimed at building competencies for the national nuclear programme.
  • Actively supports the promotion of knowledge about nuclear energy among young engineers and students of technical schools.
  • He received his higher education at Gdańsk University of Technology and is a graduate of the Technical Schools Complex in Kartuzy.

Marc Duret

  • Director Development and Sales for the Framatome division in charge of delivering new nuclear projects and manufacturing components. Marc is responsible for developing the products to meet future market needs, industrial footprint including strategic partnerships and acquisitions, business opportunities, and operational performance of sales. While driving growth in Framatome’s core business and amplifying nuclear power’s contribution to net-zero carbon initiatives, Marc leads his team with excellence in safety, quality, performance and delivery.
  • Previously, Marc held executive positions on the Olkiluoto 3 project in Finland. Through a series of increased responsibilities, Marc was appointed International Offers Director within Framatome’s New Builds Business Unit, where he led the negotiations for the Hinkley Point C project, moving on to being Deputy Project Director for Hinkley Point C. He was then appointed Managing Director of Framatome UK ltd., located in London, responsible for Framatome’s development of business operations, customer relationships and project successes in the UK.
  • Marc transitioned to Framatome from Cogema where he began his career in 1992. He held positions in nuclear fuel reprocessing and nuclear waste treatment at the La Hague plant. As International Business Manager for the Areva reprocessing Business Unit, Marc was in charge of development activities in the United States, United Kingdom and Japan. He was soon promoted to Deputy Vice President for Sustainable Development and Continuous Improvement for the reprocessing Business Unit at Areva.
  • Marc earned a master’s degree in chemical engineering, and holds an MBA from the Imperial College of London. He attended Executive MBA programs from HEC Paris and the Harvard School of Business. Marc is a certified and licensed Project Management Professional (PMP®).
