Piotr Ciechowicz

Vice President of the Management Board of the Pomeranian Development Agency since 2007.
He has extensive experience in initiating and implementing EU-funded projects, financed under regional, national, and international programmes aimed at the economic development of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
He leads strategic projects crucial to the region’s economy, including Invest in Pomerania 2030, Pomeranian Export Broker 2030, and the Pomeranian Information and Advisory Services System “Spektrum 2030.”
He oversees the PDA department responsible for the distribution of European funds to enterprises and local business support institutions.
As part of international projects, he has been involved in initiatives promoting modern economic trends, including the circular economy and strengthening the role of science, industrial, and technology parks in the green transition.
He serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport.

Jerry Piskorski

As Director of New Build – Poland at Candu Energy Inc. Jerry Piskorski leads strategic growth and nuclear development initiatives supporting the advancement of new nuclear projects in Poland and across Europe.
His work focuses on building partnerships with utilities, government stakeholders, and emerging nuclear programs to enable successful project development and delivery.
Jerry has over 18 years of experience in the nuclear industry.
He began his career at Ontario Power Generation in 2008 as an Inspection Engineer, where he contributed to advancements in fuel channel inspection techniques.
He went on to manage the Fuel Channel Engineering Group, leading lifecycle and core assessment programs, and later held leadership roles across plant performance, turbine inspection, and emergency management.
In his current business development role, Jerry applies deep technical and operational experience to nuclear new-build development, supporting international collaboration and the growth of nuclear energy in emerging markets.
Jerry is a licensed Professional Engineer in Canada and a certified Project Management Professional. He holds a degree in Engineering Physics from McMaster University. He is recognized for his strategic insight, international experience, and leadership in nuclear project development.

Adam Drobniak

Habilitated Doctor, University Professor. Affiliated with the University of Economics in Katowice, Faculty of Spatial Economy and Region Transformation (GPiTR).
He serves as Dean of the Faculty of Spatial Economy and Region Transformation at the University of Economics in Katowice, where he conducts research and teaching in the areas of regional transformation, spatial economy, and development policies.
He is a recognized expert in the field of just transition of post-coal regions, actively involved in both research and practical transformation processes in Polish mining regions.
In 2021, he headed the Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas, where he was responsible, among other tasks, for the preparation of the National Just Transition Plan and for consultations on Territorial Just Transition Plans.
He is a member of the Working Group on the Future of Just Transition in Europe (DG REGIO), the National Council for Just Transition, the Regional Council for Just Transition of the Silesian Voivodeship, as well as the Scientific Council of the Central Mining Institute – National Research Institute.
He participates in European research and implementation projects funded under the Horizon Europe programme (including HORIZON-DUST and HORIZON-BOLSTER), focusing on participatory and social aspects of sustainable transformation.

Antti Rahikka

Commercial Counsellor in the Embassy if Finland in Warsaw and Head of Region for the commercial team in the CEE.
Mr Rahikka has wide international business experience in the fields of energy and technologyduring past 20 years in three continents.
He has been working in the energy hubs in the Middle-East but also in the least developed countries to gain unique understanding of the wide set of challenges that affect the energy systems.

Patrycja Wysocka

Attorney-at-law, Managing Partner at KKG Legal, Head of the Energy & Natural Resources practice.
Member of Women in Nuclear Poland.
For over 10 years, she has been advising clients on investment projects in the energy sector, including strategic infrastructure investments of key importance to the country’s energy security.
Her practice covers nuclear energy, regulatory matters, investment processes, due diligence analyses, and transaction structuring, with particular attention to the specifics of entities operating in electricity generation and energy storage markets.
She has extensive experience in managing high-value, multi-million-euro disputes in the energy sector.
For several years, she provided ongoing legal support to one of the largest electricity distribution system operators (DSO) in Poland, including representation before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and the National Appeals Chamber.
Lecturer in postgraduate programmes in nuclear energy at the Warsaw School of Economics.
Author of numerous publications and a frequent conference speaker.
Member of the International Nuclear Law Association (INLA) and representative of KKG Legal in the European Industrial Alliance on SMRs.

Martin Mansfeld

With 30 years of experience in the nuclear industry and an extensive background in design, implementation, and oversight of training programmes for nuclear power plant personnel.
Experience in the utilisation and management of training facilities across a wide range of training environments, including full-scope and partial-scope simulators, classroom-based facilities, on-the-job training settings, and mock-ups of plant systems and control rooms.

Fredrik Vitabäck

Fredrik Vitabäck is the European Sales Executive for Advanced Nuclear at GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy, a world-leading provider of nuclear fuel bundles, services and advanced nuclear reactor designs including the BWRX-300 small modular reactor.
Fredrik joined GE Vernova Hitachi in October 2010 as Sales Manager for the Nordics and was appointed European Sales Executive May 2025.
Before that, he was Regional Manager for the Energy Engineering company Sweco Energy, representing energy service portfolio. In this role, he managed Energy experts in Energy Strategy, Engineering and Management.
Fredrik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Bachelor of Arts of Engineering, specializing in Energy Systems.

Toshio Kaneko

Toshio Kaneko has many years of experience in the nuclear field.
His prior experience includes positions at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), the Science and Technology Agency (STA) of Japan, the Permanent Mission of Japan to the IAEA in Vienna, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan as a specialised diplomat, focusing on the fields of atomic energy, nuclear security, non-proliferation, and nuclear science and energy.
He has held his current position, as Special Assistant to the Director General of the IAEA for Nuclear Energy, Nuclear Science and Applications and Technical Cooperation, since January 2021.
He received his Doctorate degree from the faculty of Nuclear Engineering and Management at the University of Tokyo.

Grzegorz Zieliński

Director of EBRD’s Energy Europe team, promoting he Bank’s mandate and supporting green transition through investments and policy advice across the energy sector in Europe.
He joined EBRD in 1998 from Ernst & Young and became a banker in the Power and Energy Utilities team in 2001. In this role he led a number Bank’s investments in various geographies before later taking on a regional responsibility for the Central Europe.
In 2014 he became the Country Director for Poland with responsibilities further extended to cover the three Baltic states and later the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. He led the entire business and policy engagement of the EBRD in eight Central European and Baltic states and managed five EBRD offices across the region. In July 2021, he joined the Sustainable Infrastructure Group as the Director of the Energy Europe Team.
He has a Master’s degree in business and economics from the University of Gdansk, Poland, and holds a post-graduate certificate in European Integration from the EC Research Institute. He is also a UK-qualified accountant.
