Adam Rajewski

  • A specialist in the field of energy, a graduate of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology and a reactor physics course organized by Oregon State University. He has several years of experience working in large industrial companies, where he was involved in, m.in, the development of high-reliability power supply systems based on low-emission fuels and preparation for the implementation of power facilities of various scales, including a large Polish system power plant.
  • At the same time, since 2009, he has been working at his alma mater as a research and teaching officer, providing education in the field of thermodynamics, renewable and nuclear energy and energy systems, as well as research related to the development of low-carbon energy.
  • He participates in various activities in the field of dissemination of knowledge about nuclear energy for various recipients, from energy specialists to school children. Lecturer at postgraduate studies in nuclear energy at the Warsaw School of Economics and MBA studies in the field of energy transition at Collegium Civitas. Co-author of a number of expert opinions on nuclear energy, including studies on the participation of local industry in the development of this industry in Poland. Vice-President of the nuclear.pl Foundation, member of the High Scientific Council, the European Nuclear Society and the Polish Nucleonic Society

Dagmara Strumińska-Parulska, prof. UG

  • Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Gdańsk, research and teaching worker.
  • She deals with the issues of environmental radiochemistry and radiation protection as well as radioecotoxicology, and her scientific research concerns the determination of natural and artificial radionuclides in natural samples – marine and terrestrial; distribution and accumulation of radioactive elements in marine and terrestrial organisms; determination of radiotoxicity of food products and the radiological effects of food uptake of radionuclides.
  • She is a member of the International Union of Radioecology and the Polish Chemical Society, as well as the Task Force for Opinions and Development of Marine Chemistry, the Marine Chemistry Section of the Committee for Marine Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Group of Fundamental Problems of Analytical Techniques of the Committee on Analytical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Team of Experts on Marine Chemistry. Joanna Didkowska 

  • Since the beginning of professional career, she has been working at the National Institute of Oncology in Warsaw, in the Department of Cancer Epidemiology and Prevention, as well as in the National Cancer Registry.
  • Her scientific interests include the epidemiology and etiology of cancer in Poland, particularly exposure to behavioral and environmental risk factors, spatial distribution of cancers, incidence trends, prediction, and treatment effectiveness (survival rates).
  • She has been a member of the National Oncology Council at the Ministry of Health (2015-2022), a member of the Ministry of Health’s team for the National Oncology Strategy, a member of the Public Health Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (term 2019-2023, 2024-2028), and a representative of the National Institute of Oncology in the Government Population Council.

Przemysław Gorzkowski

  • Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw and the University of Cambridge British Law Centre.
  • Since 2012 he has been involved in the energy and industrial construction industry.
  • He has advised on numerous investment processes in conventional energy (coal and gas-fired power plants) and renewable energy (waste incineration plants, hydroelectric power plants, wind farms) and industrial investments (gas&oil), providing legal services for the largest energy projects in Poland.

Łukasz Bartela

  • Employee of the Department of Energy Machines and Equipment at the Silesian University of Technology.
  • Specializes in technologies supporting decarbonization processes in the power sector. His research interests primarily focus on hybrid energy storage systems.
  • Conducts analyses on the potential use of coal power plant infrastructure for nuclear investment projects. Serves as the project manager of DEsire, which aims to develop a plan for decarbonizing national coal-fired power plants through the utilization of Generation III and IV nuclear reactors.
  • An expert in energy storage and hydrogen economy. Initiator of the Energy Transformation Platform DEsire.
  • Member of the international initiative Repower.
  • Author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and several inventions. Participant in numerous conferences and panel discussions.

Sylwia Mrozowska, prof UG

  • Political scientist, professor at the University of Gdańsk, Director of the Sustainable Development Center at the University of Gdańsk, and Head of the Department of Strategic and Security Studies.
  • Manager and coordinator of research and development projects in the area of Science-Technology-Society.
  • Author/co-author of scientific works on energy transition, issues of communication, and public engagement in nuclear projects within the European Union.

Monika Silva

  • A manager with over 20 years of experience in the energy industry, possessing an extensive network of contacts and rich experience in relations with entities from the energy sector, as well as in organizing numerous energy-related events.

Edyta Szurowska

  • President of the Polish Medical Society of Radiology since 2023.
  • Professor at the Medical University of Gdańsk, heads the 2nd Department of Radiology at GUMed and the Department of Radiology at UCK
  • Pro-rector for clinical affairs of the Medical University of Gdańsk from 2016 to 2024.

Marcin Jaskólski

  • Deputy Director of the Nuclear Energy Center at the Gdańsk University of Technology, Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Nuclear Energy at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
  • He participated in training and scientific internships at nuclear centers in France, such as CEA – the Nuclear Energy Commission in Saclay and Electricite de France in Lyon.
  • His research work included, among others, the development of methods for the systemic analysis of a nuclear block with a light-water reactor operating under partial coupling conditions (simultaneous production of electricity and heat).
  • He is the author of numerous publications in international journals and has also been involved in the review process for renowned journals such as ‘Energy’ and ‘Energy Policy’.
