The invited experts will show, using the examples of specific foreign municipalities and regions, the impact of nuclear energy on industrial development, job creation, energy security and the reduction of CO₂ emissions, necessary in the fight against climate change. The discussion will also take into account the stability of energy prices and the impact on local communities.

During the session, models of financing nuclear energy, preferential choices over the development of nuclear power in Poland, public support, sources of investment outlays, capital, exploitation and system costs will be discussed. Experts will be looking for an answer to the question: Which way will ensure the cheapest and systemically and socially safe nuclear energy?

The nuclear energy has a significant impact on human health and life. Clean air is the key to a long life in good physical and mental condition.

The debate will focus on the role of nuclear technology in public health and medicine. From precise diagnostics through medical imaging to advanced cancer treatment to protection against diseases of civilization, radiation is the foundation of modern diagnostics and therapy and indirectly protects us from heart disease, respiratory diseases, cancer, and supports mental health.

DIALOQUE WITHOUT SECRETS – Neighborhood of a nuclear power plant: knowledge, benefits, challenges.

Presentation of the benefits and challenges related to the vicinity of the nuclear power plant for residents and local government in three areas: tourism, health and local entrepreneurship. The introduction will focus on presenting a map of challenges in these areas. The discussion part will present case studies from the United Kingdom, Spain and the Netherlands showing how residents and municipalities with nuclear power plants on their territory have implemented solutions that benefit the local community.
