Join us for a unique study visit to the renowned facilities of Framatome, a world leader in nuclear technology.
This is a unique opportunity to see first-hand the state-of-the-art in nuclear design, construction and operation.
🇫🇷 Study visit to Framatome plant – France, 20-22 March 2025! ⚙️🔬
📅 Date: 20-22 March 2025
📍 Place: France, Framatome facilities
🎯 For whom. Industry professionals, government representatives, researchers and anyone interested in the future of nuclear power.
In the programme of the visit:
🔹 Tour of key departments for the production and assembly of nuclear components
🔹 Meetings with Framatome experts and exchange of experiences
🔹 Presentations of innovative technologies and strategies for the development of the nuclear sector
🔹 Networking with industry leaders
💡 Why is it worth it?
Participants will gain unique knowledge about advanced nuclear technologies, gain valuable contacts and learn about the practical aspects of operating one of the leading plants in Europe.
During the visit we will visit:
- Framatome Le Creusot – specialises in the manufacture of basic components for the primary circuit of nuclear power stations: the forging of nuclear reactor pressure vessels (RPVs) – as the only plant in Europe – the manufacture of some of the internal components of RPVs, the manufacture of steam generators and their internal components, the manufacture of pressure stabiliser components, the manufacture of main pipelines between RPVs and steam generators, the casting of primary circuit main pump housings. The fabricated components are then delivered to the Framatome Saint-Marcel assembly plant. See the movie
- Framatome Saint-Marcel (Saône-et-Loire, France) – the plant assembles the primary circuit components of nuclear power plants: reactor pressure vessels (RPVs), steam generators, pressure stabilisers, primary circuit piping. See the movie
- Framatom CETIC Technical Centre – a training centre for workers involved in the overhaul and modernisation of nuclear power plants. The real main components of a nuclear power plant are used for training, such as the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) and its components, steam generators or Europe’s only full-scale reactor fuel loading simulator (loading crane, 22m deep pool with reactor pressure vessel, fuel cassettes, etc.). Owned by EDF and Framatome, the CETIC training centre has no equivalent in the world when it comes to the availability of actual elements of a nuclear power plant’s primary circuit.
