Westinghouse Electric Company is the world’s leading provider of safe and innovative nuclear technology.

Our company boasts a history of more than 130 years of innovation that began when our founder, George Westinghouse, applied alternating current on an industrial scale, building power plants and forever changing the way electricity is distributed. We employ more than 10,000 high-level professionals in 21 countries; 430 nuclear reactors using Westinghouse technology are in operation around the world.

While our day-to-day work is to provide technology, products and services to the nuclear energy sector, Westinghouse’s mission is focused on a much broader goal; we want to use the power of intellect, collaboration and innovation to create a cleaner, safer, sustainable and emission-free future for future generations.

We have been present in Poland since 2021, creating a Company that employs about 300 people, including engineers and other specialists supporting the contract for the Polish customer and handling global processes.

Westinghouse Electric Company, together with Bechtel, has formed a consortium and is partnering with Polish Nuclear Power Plants to supply three AP1000® reactors for Poland’s first nuclear power plant at the “Lubiatowo-Kopalino” site.
