European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
Director of EBRD’s Energy Europe team, promoting he Bank’s mandate and supporting green transition through investments and policy advice across the energy sector in Europe.
He joined EBRD in 1998 from Ernst & Young and became a banker in the Power and Energy Utilities team in 2001. In this role he led a number Bank’s investments in various geographies before later taking on a regional responsibility for the Central Europe.
In 2014 he became the Country Director for Poland with responsibilities further extended to cover the three Baltic states and later the Slovak Republic, Hungary, Slovenia and the Czech Republic. He led the entire business and policy engagement of the EBRD in eight Central European and Baltic states and managed five EBRD offices across the region. In July 2021, he joined the Sustainable Infrastructure Group as the Director of the Energy Europe Team.
He has a Master’s degree in business and economics from the University of Gdansk, Poland, and holds a post-graduate certificate in European Integration from the EC Research Institute. He is also a UK-qualified accountant.
