Since 1994, he has been associated with the local government of the city and county; since 1998, he has served as a County Councillor, and in the years 2002–2006 he also held the position of Starost of Bełchatów County.
He is a graduate of the University of Physical Education in Wrocław, has completed postgraduate studies in local government law at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, postgraduate studies in “Comprehensive Business Management” at the Higher School of Banking and Finance in Katowice, and a course for members of supervisory boards of State Treasury companies.
Since May 2024, he has served as the Starost of Bełchatów County.
