Dr. Eng. Krzysztof Skotak, expert at the National Institute of Public Health NIH – National Research Institute.
He specializes in health assessments of environmental quality, particularly related to ambient air quality and climate. He is the author of numerous methodological studies prepared for the Chief Inspectorate of Environmental Protection and the State Sanitary Inspection.
He is a member of international committees and working groups. He serves as Poland’s official representative in the joint WHO and UNECE Task Force on Air Quality and Health. He has been officially notified as the National Focal Point in the WHO European Task Force on Environment and Health in the field of climate change. He is also a member of the Team on the Health Impacts of Air Pollution at the Public Health Council.
Author/co-author of more than 70 peer-reviewed scientific publications.
