Head of the Department of Environmental Toxicology at the Medical University of Gdańsk and of the undergraduate program in Environmental Health.
By training, he holds a habilitation degree in medical sciences and health sciences, and is also a chemist.
In his research, he focuses on food toxicology, ecotoxicology, and the impact of environmental changes on human health.
He pays particular attention to health risks arising from exposure to emerging contaminants, including endocrine-disrupting substances.
He actively participates in initiatives aimed at adapting cities to climate change and improving residents’ quality of life.
He is a member of the Polish Society of Environmental Medicine, the Polish Chemical Society, the Polish Toxicological Society, and the Gdańsk Scientific Society.
