Kamil Stevanka

  • Graduated from Brno University of Technology with a master’s degree in Power Engineering.
  • After graduation, enrolled in a Ph.D. program focused on thermohydraulics and nuclear safety at Brno University of Technology.
  • In 2021, took up a position at the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the Department of Development of New Nuclear Units as the Head of the Unit for the Development of New Nuclear Units.
  • In 2022, visited Knoxville, Tennessee, USA, as an IAEA-sponsored fellow. The aim of the fellowship was to study the U.S. approach to SMR licensing and development.

Csaba Dohóczki

  • More than 30 years of experience in the nuclear sector especially at the field of public relations
  • He started his career at Paks Nuclear Power Plant, Hungary. Then he worked at the regional development company for Paks II. Nuclear Power Plant Ltd.
  • Now he works as a communications expert at the Communication Directorate of Paks II. Ltd.
  • Since 2004 he has been the vice-president of the Group of European Municipalities with Nuclear Facilities (GMF).

Jacek Szymczak

  • President of the Polish Chamber of District Heating for 25 years.
  • He is an expert in district heating with many years of industry experience, focusing on development, modernization, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Lodz University of Technology.
  • Previously, he served as Director of the Department of Public Utilities at the Office of Housing and Urban Development and worked as an expert for the Association of Polish Cities.

Valérie Faudon

  • General Delegate of the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN) and Vice-President of the European Nuclear Society (ENS).
  • Marketing Director of AREVA from 2009 to 2012, after holding various management positions at HP and Alcatel-Lucent in the US and France.
  • Graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. She also has a Master of Science from Stanford University in California. She teaches at Sciences-Po in the Public School of International Affairs.

Jacek Karnowski

  • Secretary of State at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy
  • Graduate of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology, also holding a degree in Finance from the University of Gdańsk, where he earned a PhD in 2008.
  • From 1990 to 1998, he served as a councilor and Deputy Mayor of Sopot, as well as a member of the Gdańsk Regional Assembly. From 1998 to 2023, he was the Mayor of Sopot.
  • Since 2023, he has been a Member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) for the 10th term, representing the Civic Coalition. He is a member of the Local Government Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation Commission, and Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee on Postal Voting Elections.
  • Three-time board member of the Association of Polish Cities, representative to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Europe, and the Joint Government and Local Government Commission. President of the Self-Government Movement Association “Yes! For Poland”.

Małgorzata Skonieczna

  • She has been associated with PepsiCo since 1993.
  • Over the years, she has held various roles encompassing marketing, communications, and government affairs.
  • Before her current position in the Central Europe business unit, she served as Director of External Communications for Europe.
  • She also held the role of Director of Public and Government Affairs for Eastern Europe, overseeing operations in Russia, Ukraine, and Poland, as well as Director of Communications and Marketing Director for Central Europe.
  • In her current role, she coordinates relationships with key external stakeholders in Central Europe while managing the regulatory and public policy environment for PepsiCo’s operations in Poland.
  • Since March 2005, she has served as President of the Polish Federation of Food Producers. Additionally, she is a member of the Advertising Council in Poland. Recently, she joined the supervisory board of Kaucja.pl – Krajowy System Kaucyjny S.A.

Anna Kopytowska

  • President of Arabelle Solutions Poland / VP Executive Sourcing at Arabelle
  • As the Global VP of Executive Sourcing for the entire nuclear power plant turbine business and the representative of Arabelle in Poland, Anna is responsible for managing a team of approximately 200 employees and overseeing a supplier base of more than 1,300 global suppliers.
  • She has over 25 years of experience in local, regional, and global roles in supply chain development and management for the energy industry, ensuring the timely delivery and high quality of power plant equipment supplies.
  • Anna holds an MBA from the Higher School of Management – Thames Valley University.

Stefano Monti

  • President of the European Nuclear Society and of the Italian Nuclear Association. He is an international expert in the development of nuclear programmes and infrastructures assisting both the Italian Government, and the European Commission for the design, implementation and evaluation of EU projects of Euratom Programmes.
  • From May 2011 to November 2022, he was Head of the Nuclear Power Technology Development Section in the Department of Nuclear Energy of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In this position, he was responsible for the IAEA programme on technology development and deployment of advanced nuclear reactors (SMRs, ALWRs, GCRs, FRs, MSRs, etc.), as well as non-electric applications of nuclear power. The programme is also addressing technology development of fusion reactors for energy production. At the IAEA, he was also the Chair of the Agency-wide Platform for SMRs and their Applications, coordinating the work and activities of all the IAEA Units supporting Member States for the development and deployment of Small Modular Reactors and their applications.
  • He has been serving in a number of national and international nuclear committees, including the Steering Committee and the Committee for Technical and Economic Studies on Nuclear Energy Development and the Fuel Cycle of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, the Executive Committee of the European Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform, the European Sustainable Nuclear Industrial Initiative, the IAEA Technical Working Group on Fast Reactors.
  • He holds a doctorate in nuclear engineering (exact Italian title: dottore in ingegneria nucleare) from the University of Bologna and is a professional licensed engineer.

Ross Matzkin-Bridger

  • Senior director for nuclear materials security at the Nuclear Threat Initiative and is a co-founding member of the Nuclear Scaling Initiative. 
  • He works at the nexus of clean energy and security, leading efforts to strengthen nonproliferation norms, minimize inventories of weapons-usable nuclear materials, and promote solutions for nuclear waste.
  • Previously senior advisor for international affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy, as energy attaché at U.S. Embassy Tokyo, and at the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration.
     
     
     

Pavel Gabriel-Lazaro

  • Executive Director of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) & Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Nuclear Engineering, Politehnica University of Bucharest
  • Graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Power Engineering, specializing in nuclear power plants. Later obtained a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering and began his academic career at Politehnica University of Bucharest, where he also earned his PhD.
  • Over a 20-year career, he has attended specialized courses at various research centers and universities worldwide. His professional experience also includes the private sector, where he focused on energy-related projects. He is an active member and board member of several professional associations.
  • As part of his role at ENEN, he participates in various European Commission-funded projects dedicated to human resources and communication in the nuclear sector. He plays a key role in designing, implementing, and managing initiatives aimed at enhancing nuclear competencies and attracting new talent to the industry. Notably, he is involved in 15 ongoing educational and training initiatives, each dedicated to advancing the field.
